new thing

I found the coolest website... actually someone showed it to me... but anyway. It's called spark people and they have recipes and diet plans and EVERYTHING is free!! I really need to start cooking again... or at least make things accessable for Dwain to cook while I'm at work. We have eaten far too much fast food lately... I think I sweat grease now... Um.. ewwww...
Also... the kids think that anything good comes from Mcdonalds... it would be nice to scratch that word out of their vocabularies again...

Here it is

http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/home.asp

They wouldn't let me join cause I was pregnant... SO I LIED MOOHOOOHAHAHA. I mostly just want the recipes for my greasy family anyway :P

Wait... stop the world

I want to just slow down time for awhile and live in this moment. Ava is so cute now. She is still a ball of fire and runs this house like she was born to but there is a difference to her now. She is developing patience and becoming one of the children and not just my precious wild baby. I am excited to watch her grow every day but also a little sad. This toddler time is one of my favorite parts of growing up. They are still so small and dependent yet they put their minds to doing so much for themselves. She is easily frustrated by big people who get in her way and she runs around the house with a purpose now. That purpose is usually destruction of property. She likes to throw all the laundry in the bathtub and take all the books off the shelves repeatedly. She also likes to open the pantry door and run off with an entire box of cereal... trailing it's contents as she runs. The girls and I spend a great deal of time cleaning up after her... but we also spend a great deal of time enjoying her antics. It is a fair trade I think.

Moved the kids

I switched Olivia back into Kayla's room yesterday that way the oldest two could share and the youngest two could share. Seemed like the fairest possible arrangement. Wow what a lot of work!!! I pulled out 3 garbage bags (yard size) of trash from their room as well as 3 garbage bags of TOYS that they need to give away... That still left them with 8 of those tote thingies full'o'crap!

I can't believe what piggies my little girls are!!!

baby Ruby

Oh the suspense!!

Yesterday was quite exciting. I put the girls in daycare and headed into Boise for my ultrasound appointment. I had to stop and buy a new phone first because my old one kept turning off and infuriating my poor husband. I got this one It's pretty cool!! Much better than my old substandard Dorado that I was using since the upsetting breakage of my remix. I miss that phone. This one looks even better though!!!
Anyway... it turned out that I was WAAAAAAY early for my appointment and decided to go and get my new drivers licence. I have been driving on an expired one since my birthday in August. Of course the picture is awful but the DMV was a relatively painless experience.
In case you hadn't noticed... all this is stalling and pointless. The real reason for this post is...
The baby is.....
A GIRL!! Holy cow.. another girl. Poor poor Dwain. She looked good and healthy but they had a difficult time visualizing her heart and seeing all four chambers so we will have to go back to look again. I highly doubt she will grow a penis in that time though even though Dwain is still slightly hopeful. Well here she is... I also have a rather long video but I'm not sure it will load. We'll see I guess.

Kayla's first week of school

Simply Smashing
On Tuesday, the first day of school, I dropped a note off at the office with instructions for Kayla to ride the bus home from daycare. 3:00 came around and I picked up Olivia (no bus for kindergardners first 2 days) and went home to try to sleep a little longer before work. At 3:30, a half an hour after school was over I get a call from the office of the school... Kayla had EATEN her note and had NOT ridden the bus. I needed to pick her up immediatly. Was not amused... Was in fact LIVID and ready to give the school a swift kick in the behind. Kayla was sitting in the office looking dejected and trying to put on her best ashamed face. She said..."well... you know I don't like to go to daycare mom." She had also spent the day ripping holes in her brand new school dress. Great first day... I felt like this

Second day went without significant events.

Third day: I pick her up and she is standing with two VERY frazzled teachers. They said that perhaps Kayla should not be allowed to use the restroom by herself in the afternoons. "What?" Apparantly... around a half an hour after she had left the classroom to use the bathroom she was found screaming and running wildly through the restroom. She had rubbed soap in her hair and was also eating it. I said "well at least it was something clean she was eating this time". I also told them that we didnt' usually let her alone in the bathroom at home either. Then I gritted my teeth and hugging her a little too hard drug her to the car. She looked somewhat like a rabid animal.

Lets hope the rest of this year goes just as smoothly.

pregnancy calendar

We find out in a week if it is a boy or a girl... I guess I should tell my work at some point.

Fetal development in pregnancy week 20:fetus in fifth month
This week you're carrying about 10.5 inches and 10.5 ounces of solid baby-miracle-goodness! Their little delicates bones continue to ossify and toughen while their itsy bitsy finger and toe pads are finishing up. Your little monkey now has teeth buds, although they’re hidden beneath the gum line. And finally! Their limbs have reached their relative proportions—no more alien baby! Their cute pink lips are more defined, and might be helping out in a bit of prenatal thumb-sucking. If you have a little boy, then their tiny testes are descending, though they have not yet passed the abdominal wall. What’s more, eyelashes and eyebrows are also visible. At this point, your little one really looks like a miniature baby—and we do mean miniature as your little swimmer currently weighs a mere eighth of their final birth weight. With half the pregnancy behind you, the most significant gains are yet to come!
